Newly released from my collection is this magnificent paperweight from France in the shape of a dead bird

was an affordable

early Victorian treasure

then the shelf portion folds down

” and contained within are 3 locks of hair from home

it gave my friend the creeps

Refer to photos for size and condition: Some wear & cracking to the leather from age and it looks like the textblock was exposed to damp at some point many years ago

cypress trees have been a symbol of mourning
