Izaak Walton Origins: Izaak Walton penned his treatise on fly fishing in 1642 and it was first published in 1653. Since then, he has become acclaimed as the Father of Fly fishing and his book has become one of the most reprinted in the history of English literature. We drew inspiration for our carving from the art nouveau stylings on the cover of its 100th reprinting
