Opal (Pink and Lavender)
Description
Opal (Pink and Lavender)Opal is known from hundreds of world localities. It's one of the few species that looks as good when it's transparent as when it's opaque. In 2018, in the Pisco Province of the Ica Department of Peru, there was a new discovery of beautiful pink Opal specimens. The material shows an almost botryoidal form with a soft, flowing, almost ethereal appearance. When exposed to SW UV light, you can see a striking fluorescent neon green glow from a thin coating
though the smaller accessory crystal on the side is contacted
this excellent specimen would make a perfect addition to your collection
but there are more of them on this specimen than almost anything I've seen from the locality
This piece is a great thumbnail sized specimen of Carbonate-rich Hydroxylapatite with well-defined hexagonal form
white prismatic Quartz crystals
My favorite aspect of the piece is the fact that it sits beautifully on its own without the aid of a base or clay
Specimen # BOL711B196
crystallized specimens of Valentinite are few and far between on the market
This piece is one of the single largest twinned Cassiterites from Viloco that I’ve handled
Tolbachite
Matrix specimens are rare from Tomokoni
otherwise the price would be quite a bit higher
