Antique Bone Ear Spoon - Gorgeous Turned Grooming ToolThis is a lovely little antique grooming tool, possibly from the Georgian or early Victorian era. It has a beautiful bovine bone turned handle of fine quality with a good steel spoon to the end either for grooming or for tiny scooping of any powders of the time. It is in very nice antique condition and measures 4. 75 inches long with beautiful and quite complex carving as shown. As an antique item it will show signs of age and patina. Please examine

It is a trick vesta which means you have to have the knack to open it - you have to press down in the right place

This is an amazing piece of Edwardian hair jewellery

age-appropriate wear to the slightly rough edge of the cup rim and to the hand-painted gold leaf gilding on the rims and lid finial

There is a celluloid cover to each side and presently a very nice photograph of a sailor likely from the Edwardian/WW1 era

It has a nice little clasp to the front side and inside I have left the contents as shown which have some rust patina as shown

It is made of turned bovine bone and is evidently very old

This is a lovely antique brass compass

It is likely from the 1920s and is nicely stamped for Japan to the interior

The base is glass and it has a metal threaded collar and a good metal top with a cork based seal to the inside lid
